UNCF Celebrating 80 Years of Transforming Lives

The United Negro College Fund’s Portland Leadership Council will celebrate its 80th Anniversary with a celebration marking eight decades of commitment to educational excellence.

This event brings together community leaders, educators, partners, supporters and students to celebrate student achievements.

Guests will enjoy inspiring speeches, testimonials from scholarship recipients, dancing and music by the Tyrone Hendrix PDX Soul Band.

This year's honorary co-chairs are Marcy Bradley, chief community engagement & equity officer, Oregon Community Foundation and D'Artagnan Caliman, vice president, Community Partnerships 1803 Fund.

UNCF Pacific NW Area Development Director Linda Thompson-Black and Michelle Harper, UNCF Portland leadership council chair will recognize Corporate Leader of the Year Tamara Brown, vice president Heritage Bank NW; Corporate Leadership Team of the Year Kaiser Permanente’s Kelly L. Michael; Program Manager  Population Management Initiatives, Whitney Pettigrew; Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Program Coordinator, Jo'Rita Williams, Pre-Registrar & Black KP National Program chair for their outstanding commitment.

Auctioneer Adrienne Livingston, Artisan Auctions., will facilitate bids to support scholarships for UNCF Scholars.
